SUMMIT DANCE SHOPPE
CLASSICAL BALLET PROGRAM

The ballet program at SDS has a two-fold emphasis. The first is to support and train our students involved in competitive dance. The second is to provide the West Metro community with an excellent ballet program-one that provides the highest quality ballet training in a nurturing environment. SDS offers classes in ballet, pointe, and men’s/boy’s ballet, and we provide performing opportunities through the Summit Ballet Theatre. In addition, SDS provides an intensive training program (the Invitational) for high school students interested in pursuing a career in dance.

The SDS Ballet program is directed by Linda Muir Finney, who holds a B. F. A. and M. F. A. in ballet from the University of Utah. She has taught for over 25 years in a range of venues including professional ballet and modern companies, university dance major programs, local dance academies, and nationally recognized workshops and conventions.
